im looking to race against a hpi on road car with a 3.3 nitro i own a tamiya TA05 w/ a 7t reedy TI double wound am i gonna be any comp or could i actually win?

Also, what kind of race? Straight line drag, track or what? What are the levels of driver experence? Seems to me like an experenced driver would have a chance to win in any track race over an inexperenced one even with a slower car. Heck, even in a drag race, throttle control experence would be an important factor.
