is it bad to clean you exhaust out with water

as long as its not attached to the engine water in te engine can cause lotsa problems, water works just fine, i used alcohol though

Use metholated spirits, degreaser or automotive cleaners. These work well because they get rid off grease, oil and other scum. Water will make it rust if its a metal pipe plus water on its own sucks at cleaning

Are you talking about cleaning the inside of your pipe? because i dont think anyone does this
