hello, i want to build a sled type thing to pull behind our trucks for tractor pulls, anyone know how to make a working one? on the real thing like most know they put weights in the little box and it is powered by a motor and slowly moves foward as the truck goes down the track, my queston is, does anyone know how to power it? someone said use a belt, but if i use a belt i would need some kind of slip system it cant be direct because the bucket will go foward way tooo fast. Is there such thing as a mini winch? lol

you use a worm gear hooked up to the axle on the trailer. or something similar or a very geared belt drive.
