'Cuz I think mine might....
(Just finished screwing the Axial Beadlocks onto the Axial Terraizer XL tires....)

But wait, it gets better.......

Now if I can just get my 3-speed adjusted right, it'll run almost as good as it looks....

I'm hearing suddenly that the HPI 17mm Hex Hum Conversion is a MUST with these rims...
They're WAY too expensive for me right now though..
What do you guys think?? I did seem to notice some space there in the rim between the hex and the nut.. I'm NOT spending 50 bucks on a hex conversion though...

I have been beating it recently actually.. I just put the pretty bodies and new wheels on for the pics... My new Chevy bod was pretty much ruined on its first day out last weekend..
Not the greatest video, but this is from last weekend.. There are still pebbles falling out of it...:

Poor dude with the Nova smashed up his 8mm engine plate, and cracked his engine-case.. Rather than buy a new case (for$180..), he's gonna sell the internals and get an Axial...
I must say, I've never seen a more EXPLOSIVELY FORWARD MOVING machine than his Sav with that XRP in it.... Pretty much uncontrollable... Can't really see it in the vid unfortch..
What if I traded the Mach 427 from my LST2 for his Nova internals, and paid the 180 for the case???........................................... ..................

Thanks..
My blister is like twice as big now.. And hurts..
I really need to invest in some good tools...
Anyway, does anybody think I REALLY need the 17mm hex conversion set?? There IS a gap between the hex and the nut I think....

nice vid and set up Patrickbw, don't the axial rims come with a spacer to convert from 17mm to 14mm hex? I thought I read that in a magazine advertisement.

The Axial rims come with these two little washers... As a matter of fact, for some reason one of my pairs of rims didn't even have the washers....
On the instructions it's not clear. Are the washers only for the included 17mm conversion for the MGT or Revo? Or for always??

the t-max/revo spacer convert 17mm hex into 14mm hex. Should work on a savage with 14mm hex. Washers used always with or with out hex adapters.
Don't you have a savage SS? They came with 17mm axles right?

Do you guys have special 17mm hex hub conversions, or just the stock Savage hexes?? And if the latter, did you use the washers??
I NEED to know.. I HAVE heard of people breaking these wheels, and from what I can tell reading between the lines it has to do with not having the washer.... But not sure...
Thanks Frank.. So you gettin a Sav?? I'm sure you're read it all over, but I'd really recommend the X SS kit...

I have some 14mm to 17mm adaptors from another set of wheels and they are a perfect fit. Because im using the older nuts i have to use the washers and some threadlock cuz the lock part of the nut doesnt reach the threads.

Hmm... I'm annoyed by this. Theses wheels are expensive and should just fit on the damn truck as is....

Hmmm, I didn't see the part about the 17mm washers. I will have to put them on then. I use the 17mm stock hexes and the corresponding flange nuts.
