Hi guys! I'm Joao and live in Lisbon.
Bought a Savage X recently (never had any nitro RC before) and I am trying to find out which is the best suspension (essentially shocks) to fit in it.
Whent I bought it, I also got the HPI aluminiun shocks and filled them up with 600 oil in front and 800 oil for the back (recomendation from the guy in the store). The 800 oil for the back is definitely too much dense as the rebound is slow. So I am thinking of putting the same oil in the front and back (600). I also got the set of progressive springs. So any help on setting up will be much appreciated.
There are many pictures of savages with a single shock per wheel. What it is how does it perform?
Thank you for your help.

Welcome to the forum!
The shocks you have now are very good and the only way of getting better shock action is to do the LST shock mod. For this you need a special kit and 4 lst shocks and your set. As for the oil your using its way to thick, i run 25wt in all my shocks and its just fine for me. 600 to 800 is much to thick, get something between 25 and 40 to replace it or you will bend the shock shafts when landing a big jump or hitting a bump.

Been running the stock shock on mine for 8 plus gallons. I race mine and run 25 weight oil all around with one red and one green spring each corner. On the track I only get about 5 or 7 feet of air.
