The Savage X SS Kit or the Savage X SS RTR. Both really good sets to buy.

All of the current Savage's are out already....there is no new one "coming out". The Savage X SS is the latest one to release and has a 4.6 in it.

So there...."DUDE"

The 4.6 RTR will be a down graded X-SS and not have the extra parts I think................thats the way it usually goes[&o]

is the x ss rtr the savge x 4.6
No. They are two different trucks. The X SS is the kit version of the Savage 4.6 and it comes with its own specific/unique parts. The X 4.6 RTR is a different truck per se.....it doesn't have the X SS specific parts on it. You can put the X SS parts on a X 4.6 RTR though.

The "old" X 4.1 RTR is officially discontinued and will be replaced by the *new* X 4.6 RTR. Check it out on HPI's website. The X SS remains as the top level Savage.

savage truckzilla .46 sux. The tvps are ok but no one carries the custom rear dogbone. you can get a custom Titanium dogbone. As for the .46 motor all it is good for is a paper weight.

Okay, but all that's doing is replacing the motor. That would then be an "upgraded" X. And this is smart being that the 4.1 is gutless compared to the 4.6. I don't think they are going to "upgrade" anything else on it... that's why the X SS was made.

HPI did some more to it than just replacing the engine. Look over the new truck on their website...it goes over all of the features.

Keep in mind that the X 4.6 RTR is the BASE level Savage, meaning it will not have all of the bells and whistles on it-as you have noticed. The X SS is the PREMIUM level Savage and it will have all the bells and whistles on it.[8D]
