i put a new robinson racing spur gear on my savage and when trying to set the gear mesh i notice that it wobbles . what would be the cause of this im guessing that its slipper clutch hub or the slipper plate. any ideas on what it could be?

Worn out washed most likly take it off and check for damage by where the screw goes threw and check the washers for wear. and 1-2 mm will make a huge problem

^^^agreed. 1-2mm of wobble in a steel spur will create massive amounts of heat. Trust me, I know from experience. For me, the fix was as easy as turning the spur 180 degrees. Basically flip the spur on the pin. Straightened that baby right out.
