was wondering about which savage would be worth getting? i have been in rc before and i know a good amount of them. i used to own the t-maxx 2.5 and the 3.3 then i went to the hpi savage .25 and its way better. so i planned on getting a savage and putting a sure fire .32 on it. so i was wondering what would the difference of the chassis and insides be if im just gonna change over the engine? and what are the other parts to upgrade on it?

im not looking to like make every peice metal. i figure i would just upgrade as i break. but i dont want to get the x ss with the bigger engine and spend the money on it when i can get a .25 for cheaper. im gonna get a bigger engine so the stocke engine will be out of the story.

Sell the stock engine on e-bay.. The X SS is the best Savage, precisely because it comes with the main upgrade parts you're going to end up wanting anyway - functional brakes(OK, the new 4.6 RTR has those..), a tuned pipe, ligher tire and wheels, better cups and drivetrain, etc...
Don't know what you're talking about with "not looking to make every piece metal".... The X SS will save you money in the long run - for a much better truck..
I DO however understand not wanting a kit, as I was like that for a long time too.. But yeah, some things you just have to learn for yourself......
