Well, finally i have the guts to take my savage into jumping session. I went to sport chalet and bought me a skateboard ramp, and took it to the park along with my savage.
after about 20 jumps 6+ feet with most of them land either head or rear first, i broke some parts.
the first thing that i broke is one rear shock. should i buy a new set of shocks or can i just fill the shock with oil?
also my gas tank broke, there goes my $15 [
]
thanks

Did the shock break or did the cap pop off?
Next time place your jump so the truck lands in something soft like sand and try to control it in the air.

Give it gas to bring the front up brakes to bring the front end down when jumping. You should always have oil in the shocks.

you don't want aluminum savage shocks anyway if you're gonna be jumping

Yes,
next time get some pictures or video. I just blew 2 rear shock caps off my GSt the other day, no biggie, refilled with shock oil and they worked great again!
Like some one else said in the air
Throttle = front end up
Brake = front end down!

You can stick the bolt threw as it is, but the flange makes it so you cant slide the bottom of the shock threw the uprights on the a arm. You can just take the swivel ball out though and put the one in from your old shock that will work also. Or like I said cut the flange off works either way
The ones you posted the link on are universal savage shocks so you wont need to cut anything. Just the ones someguy posted.

thanks vigilante, i think you are the most helpful member on this forum. LOL
anyway, i just re-filled my shocks, and i bought a new fuel tank. the fuel tank that i bought is a little different that the original, the new one comes with the primer and the hole for the fuel line that connects to the engine is located on the bottom. but it works fine though, it's just that i need to re-route the fuel line[&o]
i will go to my second jumping session tomorrow morning. wish me luck guys

It's not even comparable, the savage is a little toy compaired to the FG MT. I used to own a Savage 25, and a Savage SS 4.6. The FG MT blows a savage out of the water! Here check out my FG video
