WHen was the Savage 25 released? Also, when was the Savage LTD released....thanks.

The first Savage 25s were released in late 2003, and the Savage 25 Limited edition showed up sometime late 2005.

The Savage 25 went through a little revision and got a few updated parts sometime during it's lifespan, but I'm not sure when that happened... probably 2004.

it was October 04 when they started coming with the cam type servo saver and the 4 gear diffs and the new big air filter instead of that itty bitty POS. IIRC the LE came out in mid '05.

I remember all this stuff by whether or not i worked in a hobby shop to support my addiction or not and match it up to the time frame

The Savage LE was released in 2005. There were two versions of the Savage 25. They had the Savage SS kit (.25 powered) and the Savage 25 RTR. The Savage SS was released in 2003 and the Savage 25 RTR was released around Christmas of 2003. You can still buy a Savage 25 RTR brand new.....it's just "disguised" as the KFX Quad. It has the same everything as the Savage 25 RTR.[8D]

Just curious of how long I owned my Savage, I bought my Savage 25 the first week it was out, I sold it like 4 months after the LE was out....SO I had it for about 2 and a halfish years.

I've had mine 4 years now.......probably the oldest on this forum.[8D]

To add to the the spirit of the thread, since we kno when the LE was put on market, I am now curious as to when the original Savage came out. I think that is the Savage with the .21BB.

The original Savage .21 was released in 2002.[8D]
