Default This is Weird (Engine Issue)

I ran Trinity Monster Brew with 20% nitro and 16% oil in my Savage X with the stock F4.1 engine, but I decided to try some Monster Horsepower with 20% nitro and 12% oil when the Brew ran out. Well, today was that day, and I am very surprised with the results of running with that fuel. My engine doesn't run very hot at all; with the Brew (16% oil), it ran between 200-220 degrees and would idle all day and all night without overheating. I heard that the temperature might drop a little because 16% oil is really overkill, but now the engine idles at 115-120 degrees and runs at around 150! The engine cogs a lot when the gas is applied, and sometimes dies. It still idles all day, but the idle is more rough and shaky. It speeds up a tad then slows back down then speeds back up then slows back down. I tried wrapping the head paritally with aluminum foil (keep in mind it was 80 degrees out) then completely with aluminum foil, but to no avail. The engine didn't run that much hotter at all. Also, the engine burns fuel much faster then it used to when it ran the Brew. This all leads me to think that the engine is too rich, but leaning it out even 1/8th of a turn causes the truck to die when throttle is applied. My only other guess as to what is going wrong is that I may have a bad glow plug, but that plug ran fine 5 minutes before with the Brew. It is the original plug that came with the truck, and it has about a gallon on it.

Yeah, I tried. But leaning it out even a tad caused it to die. [sm=confused.gif]

Did you try restarting it after you leaned it. Try richening up your low speed needle a tad.
