Savage X 4.6 RTR.

Depends of course on what you want to do.. General rule of thumb is, Savage to bash/launch, etc.., Revo to race..

The new generation of Savages has done away with its traditional, perennial problem - crappy diffs.. That's history now. So this truck should be rock-solid, ready to thrash - hard - right out of the box...

the savvy was made to bash, it can race though if you want ot make it do that, cna take a bit of modding to be on par with a revo, i'm a traxxas guy though so i'm gonna vote the revo, i'v only had small problem with mine so far, the t maxx isn't worth looking at, i'd go the savvy over the maxx anyday.

but really i am unbiased, i think it depends on what you wanna do, the savage is a well known basher, if thats what ya gonna do 99% of the time the savage is defiantly the better truck for you.

If he makes the post in the Traxxas section we will all rush over there and vote for the Savage.

Is it any wonder the Savage is ahead in the poll in the HPI monster truck thread? [sm=spinnyeyes.gif]I race and bash my Savage and have beaten quite a few Revo’s on the track with the stock K4.6 engine. Bottom like the Savage truck is the most durable RC monster truck made!

This question all depends on what you want to do with the truck. I'm not going to get into that because it's a can of worms. Since this is a HPI forum, I'm going to put in another vote for the new Savage X F4.6 RTR.[8D]

I will agree with you on that! Savages are tough as nails! I am getting one this weekend actually, I missed my old savage. But on the track, there is no compromise, a heavily modded savage with a good driver could keep up but dosen mean they will win

I voted for the Revo since you said a little track time and some bashing. If you wanted only extreme bashing then i'd say the Savage. Have you ever though about a GSt 7.7?

Well I've owned a Savage 25 and a Savage SS 4.6, and a Revo 3.3. All great trucks! BUT the Cen is my favorite out of them, It bashes with a Savage easily, but a savage is better for HUGE air and it's easier to do backflips, the GST it's alot bigger then a savage, and it'll outrun a savage in the straight aways also and in my opinion it looks cooler. It has a 3 speed tranny with reverse, and tons of HP and torque. It's an all around great truck, heres a bash video i put together

Isn't it hard to get CEN parts? It is a nice truck though.[8D]

I buy all my parts off e-bay. Not much breaks on the GST, basically a spare set of turnbuckles and A arms is all you need.

You are only 1hr from CEN , i dont thin Parts will be a big issue for you. GST rules.. it has the size and power no other truck has. It certainly isnt the best racer but for bashing, its one of the best.. Man up and go with the big truck

Yeah, put some black zip-ties around the bumper-posts.. Not too tight, but enough to prevent the pins from falling out.. Look and you'll see.. It is an X RTR right? Do you have upgraded alu diff cups and the thicker "X" in the TVP under the engine?? Just curious...
