I'm looking to replace the radio in my Savage and would like some suggestions. I'd like, if possible:
1. Built in failsafe
2. Ability, but not requirement, to run digital servos.
3. FM
4. Well made.
5. Reasonably inexpensive.
None of these are absolute requirements. I don't need the latest technology, as much as I'd like a Nomadio or Spektrum, as I don't have the money and am just bashing. I may race someday, but probably not. I'll probably be buying used off ebay, and am fine with a slightly older model to save some money. Thanks!

Im not sure if youll find any relativly inexpensive controllers with a built in fail safe. Spektrum has one you can get the 2.0 its cheaper or get the 3.0 both have all the same options just the 2.0 I tihnk only has 2 channels. its 2.4ghz

Either the Airtronics MX3-FHSS or the Futaba 3PM FASST. Don't quote me on this, but the Futaba FASST receiver may have a built in failsafe. Regardless of what radio you use, you can use digital servos across the board. The higher end radios actually require them when you use their high response modes.

The fail safe in a Spectrum is only for signal loose and does not work for low receiver battery. I have a Spectrum DX3 and is a good radio but will be up grading to either a Spectrum DX3R or the React I hope after this race session is over. You just cannot beat 2.4GHz!!!!!
