About two weeks after buying a Lightning GT10, I broke the front shock tower. I called Ultimate Hobbies, and they
said they were waiting for the part. I called HPI and they said that since they had tons in stock, I'd have
to order it through a retailer[&:][&o]! After calling Ultimate Hobbies and getting nowhere, I called HPI and did a slight
freak out (made better by a cold-induced gravelly voice...LOL!). The rep said he'd send one out, and Fedex just
dropped it off[8D]. I've been using the GT10 with the shock tower glued together, but have been babying it. Now I'll
be able to jump it...FINALLY!
I should mention that the shock tower broke when I ran the GT10 into the front of my wife's Ford Focus: I was in a high school
parking lot, and had about a 100 yard run going when the truck went right under the Focus's front tire. I thought the truck was
toast, but was amazed to find that was the only damage!

My wife is 47[:@]
....and finished with HS...LOL!!! The Focus is a decent car: we drove it down to San Antonio and back last
Fall, and it was much better than expected. My 1996 Chevy Caprice is a better car, but I like to keep the miles down (53K right now).
Since the shock tower broke just as break-in was finished, I really didn't have a chance to fully test the GT 10. Yesterday afternoon it
was jumped, run full speed across tough terrain, and performed great! I should mention that Ultimate Hobbies finally got their shipment
of shock towers this week as well
. I'd buy a couple more GT10 trucks at $199 if I knew that spares would continue to be available.
Hot Bodies spare parts are very cheap, so maybe I'll stock up now.
I don't have an RC10B2...............
