HI GUYS
Plans for this years Mountain Thunder Jet Rally are in full swing and it should be a great one!!
Last year was a great time, lots of flying and the sun at our backs.
We have over 20 pilots with verbal commitments from all over the northwest,California,Arizona, and our friends from Canada.
Last year was event #1 for us and as you should you learn what worked and what needs to be improved. Most of all we want everyone to have a wonderfull time. Burn lots of fuel and swap war stories, thats what it's all about.
We will have a full concession stand on site and the local civil air patrol will be on hand to park cars and help with crowd control. Plenty of RV parking but sorry no hookups.
Location-- Glacier R/C field Kalispell Montana (800X70 paved runway) see it at glacierrcers.org
Flying will be from around 8am to 5pm with open flying after that.
Prizes & Trophies awarded on Saturday & Sunday.
Landing Fee $35.00
Jet-A available at local FBO

Harley and Kelly,
Along with Roy, I to will be coming from the Seattle area. I'm attending the event in High River the week before, then will spend the week in MT.
My question - will we be allowed to fly during the week prior to the actual event? I will be arriving on Monday from High River, and have the whole week
to kill.

Brian and Chuck, That's great that you are flying over for our jet meet. I had a really nice list of all the hotels and rental car info put together for you but because of my subsonic typing I timed out. I will get it together again later this evening and post it to you. Just wanted you to know that we are happy to hear you are coming and will get the info for you. Later-- Ad

Hi Guys
Great to here from all of you. We look forward to meeting all our old friends and making new ones.
I love to see that some are going to ge here early, this will also give you time to enjoy the area as well as get in some extra flights.
My shop will be available for anyone that may need some extra work on their plane. I live only ten minuets from the field and will be more than happy to help out in any way we can.
I have two 4x8 tables in my shop that should be clear.
We are also very lucky to have a GREAT hobby shop (Northland Hobbies) here in Kalispell. Steve Harop is the owner and is a sponsor of the event.
Again, anything we can do at this end please let us know.
See you soon

Looks like we are a go...
The mother ship got its fuel pump replaced this last weekend, so my motor home is back in serviceable condition (now if I just had the magic to make it look new again!). My Engine is repaired and on its way back from Germany.... And my vacation request has been approved....
Now I am just counting the days. This is my first Jet event, I hope it is going to be as good as I think it will....
See you guys soon!

From: Los Angeles, CA,
Ad,
Michael Lederer here in Los Angeles. Although there is LA jets this same weekend, I might fly out in my Cessna 182 Turbo for the event. Gotta check my schedule and need to see if I can cram a jet into the plane. How far is the model field from the "real" runway? Thanks in advance,
Michael

Hi Guys
Sounds like we should have a great show with everyone that is going to make it.
We have cooler temps and wind down the runway on order!!!!
when you pull into town be looking for white signs 1'x3' that say Jet Show. These will be on all the main hwys. hwy 93 north of Kalipsell, hwy 40 between Whitefish & Columbia Falls and on hwy 2 between Kalispell and Columbia Falls (approx 3.5 miles north of Glacier International Airport) If going north turn left on hodgson rd.
The field is located on Whitefish Stage. north of Hodgson rd and .7 tenths south off of hwy 40
Any problems please give me a call (406)212-5208
See ya next week!!!!!!!!!
