Its time to move on from my trusty Boomerang Intro - but what next??
My short list is eitehr the Fei Bao Velox or the Cermark F16.
It will be powered by a Wren Supersport.
Any views???? I am just looking for something faster and prettier than the Boomer but it not particularly scale.

I have both the Boomerang (Intro and XL) and the Cermark f16 and I can say there is a huge difference between them. The Boomer is of course slower more docile and much easier to see than the F16. The F16 flies very well, speed is about 140-150 with a RAM500 full throttle. The landings are not hard just different. On the Boomer you can drop the flaps and in a wind just point it at the field cut the power and it will land itself. The F16 will also land very slowly but you must get the plane slowed up by AOA bleeding off that speed, it won't stall/snap but it will sink and pancake into the runway, power management is required. Its a beautiful thing when you nail it. I have yet to see a Velox but I guess it would handle a bit closer to the Boomer than the F16. If nothing else you would still have the familiar twin boom visual reference you have now with the Boomer.
Good Luck and have fun!

if you are tired of the boomerang, take the F16 for change. The velox is almost the same as the Boomerang (shape). But the velox is a more "bumpy-grassfield" loving plane. (with the jet-1A struts)
My 2 cents

I also have both the Boomerang Intro and XL. I am flying the Intro and building the XL now. I am also looking at the Cermark F16 as next project. The only thing i am worried about is how slow can you fly with F-16. Bearing in mind that i am flying on a rather short field (330 ft long paved runway) and would appreciate knowing how short do you think this jet could take off and land without risking a stall bearing in mind that a P-60 will eventually power the F-16.
Your feedback is much appreciated.
Regards. Dany
