Default Waco Today! Ouch...my sunburn hurts!!!

Well, in spite of my best efforts I headed to Waco todat by myself I couldn't pull anyone else away from work Had a great time hanging out with the locals though, joined the club, got the key, got the tshirt Burned 5 gallon of dinosaurs today = 12 flights. That brings the total to 30 on the baby boomer. Not bad considering Elvis just gave birth to it 3 weeks ago. That thing would have twice that many flights on it if Benbrook were open though [:'(] Anyways...............it was a good time, the Artes Falcon is awesome (still farts though, not quite sure what is causing that) I have it dialed down to 17lbs for the boomer. I am enjoying the hell out of not having retracts!
Alright...........so when are we going to do it again? And, BTW, from now on I am calling Joey Elvis' Daddy

PM me next time you are going during the week, I might be able to swing up and burn some jet fuel with you. I'm heading to my local club tomorrow to burn some.

They said that they will not open it untill it gets down to a certain level, but they are not letting water out but taking more in from other lakes. So, I think it is going to be a while.

Smitty. sometimes on my Falcon has I'm going to full power, usually around the 1/2 throttle mark I get an odd sound.
It's almost like wind blowing throw reeds or almost like a quick fart noise.

I heard it the very first time I ran it in an airframe.
I thought it was my ducting, but it seems to just be a weirdness of the motor

Buck, just take the 18 wide on your next landing and see just how high the water is.

I also have that same problem, usually around mid-night. I thought it was my ducting......turned out I should stay away from beans after 10PM.

Tom, I am going to be in San Antonio Saturday - Monday night. Are there any places to fly? That's near you, right? Monday would be the perfect day b/c my partner is going to be an 8hr meeting that I don't have to go to!!!

No thats the bad thing about SA...nowhere to fly through the week. All the clubs have dwindled away to small grass strips or totally gone. We fly jets at Seguin AF Auxillary strip 25E of SA on I 10. We can use it after the AF is finished with the T38 training late in the afternoon and weekends. Thats why Waco through the week sounds good to me. My wife works through the week when I'm home and if I go fly in the evenings on the 1 or 2 days a week I'm home we never see each other. A couple of good hobby shops though Rebel Hobbies on Blance and 2nd Chance RC in Universal City.
