Hi Roger,
I am sending my registration check in today, I made hotel reservations at the Holiday Inn Express in LITCHFIELD, ILLINOIS 62056
217/324-4556 at a rate of $67.15 + tax per night
Here is the advertising sheet on the Litchfield Airport's website:
http://www.litchfieldil.com/airport/Flyer2007.pdf
Thanks for setting this up, hopefully this year we will have warmer weather and kinder winds.
Please plan the meals at the local resturants so we can get together after flying and have a few drinks and laughs.

Thanks John, as another Route 66 Club Member, for getting the thread started.
The Route 66 RC Club is again delighted to announce the return of http://www.route66jets.com/ for September 6-9, 2007 at the Litchfield, Illinois Airport. Arrive on the 5th if you like to get a good spot and help with the set up.
The only thing that prevents you from flying from 9 AM till dusk is yourself and Mother Nature as the North/South Runway & Air Space is closed to full scale traffic.

Roger,
This is one of the BEST Events in our area with no "Commercial" interruptions at all. This is TRULY a "Fly all you want Event" and with it moved to an earlier part of September it will truly be one of the Diamond Events to attend each year. The Phabulous Phantoms Brothers will be there in Full Force! We are Cocked, Locked and ready to Rock! More information On Route 66 Jets to come Soon!!! Trust me when I say, "You DONT want to miss this Event!"

Roger,
Can't wait for the event. The rest of the AMT crew will be there with bells on. I hope there is lots of Jet-A there. You will need it. Once people get a taste of this site and non-stop flying you might have to call in a tanker. I also look forward to seeing Sharon and Jimbo. It only takes one Jimbo to support you, but a whole village when he is not there. I will chat with you this week.

My Pre-reg is on the way, This flying site has to be the best jet friendly field I've seen. Redelman flies those half mile out setups and still does'nt come close to the active runway. Gobs of unobstructed land for some serious flying.
I'm packing up 3 for this one, KC, ViperJet, BC.........
BTW, was this event inadvertantly left off the BVM calender of events??? STRANGE????? Hmmmm.......
John make sure to bring Ol'e JOHHNY "A" to this one, Have him contact Tom Shuh if he wants to just fly in general aviation for a day or two. I can PM Toms PH#'s if needed......

I have gotten a few folks confused regarding holding a preliminary flyin this weekend at Litchfield.
We, I'm just guessing maybe 12 or 15, are using the Club Meeting as an excuse to use the airport this weekend doing some demos and promoting the regular Route 66 Jets Event in September to the news media and locals. The Litchfield Tourism Bureau contributes several thousand dollars toward advertising and promoting the Man Event in September.
As of this morning mail we have 27 confirmed pilots for the September 6-9 Route 66 Jets so I'm guessing there will be what....50 or so paticipants? Later, Roger
