Default fire extinguish hatch on Eurosport?

Hi there!
I have the the standard hatch for entering fuel-tanks etc. (see photo) but I fear that a descent wet-start is firstly very difficult to spot, and secondly very difficult to extinguish. Supose a fire like on this F15 starts in a ES?

Are there any of you who has made a separate fire-inspection hatch on your Eurosport?

A flying buddy of mine made one just over the engine. The cut out follows the panel lines and is big enough to get the engine in and out. The area was reinforced with a carbonfibre cloth before cutting out.
Works great!

A hatch over the engine woule help a lot in getting the Euro setup - actually, a hatch over the area in front of the engine would be better.

However, its not necessary for fire suppression. If you have a fire, you simply spray the CO2 into the intake - puts the fire right out, no problem...

I recommend you use ceramic blanket, heat shield and aluminum. Do a search, as the procedure have been discussed here.

I have had two fire incidents in my eurosport. Extinguisher in intakes, but since it was hard to notice (no flames on back), the blanket, heath shield and aluminum protected it until i was put out.

Hi Guys!

My plan was only to make a smaller hatch for visual discover of any fire during startup, like illustrated on this photo.
Cause the fire should be better extinguished from the turbine intake. The solution with alu and blanket is good, I'm sure, but I'd rather avoid the fire to develop more than nessesary.

I'll reinforce with carbon, as you say, SAP, Thanks
