Anybody know or have a picture of this badge on the aircraft side? Cant get a good picture of it. This is the F86F that Dale Snodgrass flew in 2005 airshows.

Hm, could it be that the original skyblazers team had a different emblem on there than Dave Snodgrass's aircraft? I recall having seen other decals in a Skyblazers F-86 plastic kit, and those are usually quite accurate.....

Contact Chris True from the electric forum. He did Scott Blacks EDF Sabre in the Skyblazer scheme, and might have CAD files for it.
Check it out here: [link=http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3613519#post3613519]http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3613519#post3613519[/link] They look pretty accurate

I believe the one from the 1950's had a Statue of Liberty badge. The redone version, Dale Snodgrass was flying, is like the one in the picture above. AT&T sponsored this airplane for a while and it carried the AT&T logos on it during some shows. http://www.aero-pix.com/qp02/f86/f86-b.jpg

That's the airplane Dale is flying before it was painted in the Skyblazer's scheme.
Scott, that emblem on the nose is the old USAFE emblem. United States Airforce Europe (where the Skyblazers flew).

It doesn't seem like Dales aircraft is carrying the USAFE patch..... it clearly says USAF on the picture posted, showing also a large star with 4 aircraft (the lowest one seeming like a P51 to me).
USAFE had this patch from the beginning AFAIK:

The original 1950's Skyblazers had Insignia Blue FS35044. Dales aircraft seems lighter blue indeed, i would go with the FS35050 or such...you could also give Dales support crew a call to see what they are spraying on the bird...

Just goes to show, it can happen to the best of us. BTW, Dale's Sabre has a slatted wing. The Skyblazer's Sabres all had 6-3 wings so far as I can tell. Hence the wing fences in the shot of the model.John

That crest is the emblem for the USAF Heritage Flight. This isn't the exact one that's on his jet, but it's the same Idea.

Hope this helps!
Edit: sorry that turned out so big, I'll try and tweak it.
