lights in a kingcat

Hi Robert, Are you wanting to put these in a pre-painted version or are you doing a custom paint job? The reason I ask is this is no easy job and to really make them look good you really need to putty them in to get them flush.

Here are some pictures of an ARF KingCat and a blended in painted model. They do not have the lens in place. I added some bulkheads to maintain the strength and also to avoid air blowing the wing up if the lens had a malfunction.
If you want to mount them in the wing, I have instructions and patterns. I'm sure Mike will agree it is alot of work!

I used a set of [link=http://electrodynam.com/rc/EDR-117/index.shtml]Nav/Strobe Lites[/link] from ElectroDynamics. They are not the large photon cannons shown in some of the pix provided by others but are smaller and more subtle. Mine went into a C-ARF Rookie and with careful planning and technique the lites can be installed with no paint touch-up needed.
