I have just purchased a Wren 44 Gold and was thinking what model to fit it in. I fancy a Hawk and am considering the Fox or AMD airframes. One criteria is that it must disemble to a reasonable size, as I will be taking it abroad on a regular basis (by air). Does anyone have any input on these two aicraft as to their suitability and pros and cons.

Hi John,
I have built a couple of AMD Hawks and with a few easy mods they really do fly well for the money. Me and a couple of guys took them to Florida last year and it was a breeze with the small box and light weight.. A perfect airframe for the 44.

Thanks Jason. Do you have any idea of the approximate dimension of your container? (best guess) Are the wings a one piece or two piece design?

John,
its a one piece wing (once you have joined it) and the complete plane still fits in the box it comes in (just). Can't remember what the exact size is but if you are wondering if it comes within the size the airline allows the answer is no but don't worry about that, just turn up and they will let you on..
