I was signed off a week ago and it came in te mail today. pretty fast if you asked me, large paart due to Don Perry for expediting the paperwork.

I'm far from expert but i have been flying ducted fans for a while now as well as my new to me boomerang xl (19 flights so far).

AWESOME!!! I know the feeling having just been waivered too. The first meet is always interesting!!! I remember my first flight at Fresno this year, man when I got down I was shakin like a leaf on a tree!!!! Awesome Stuff!!!

Not long I basically went through the procedures, i've been flying the jhh a7 on edf, and a couple of other edfs that wing loading is much higher than the boomerang, so when i actually flew the boomerang for the first time i was shocked at the ease of flight (felt easier than a glow trainer). Not to rub anyone the wrong way already but I really dont think this jet really prepares you for flying a f18, f5,l39 or anything with even minimal wing loading. For the "New guy"to jets (turbines) It might just give him a false sense of accomplishment. It is however a perfect platform to teach someone how to run a turbine and an excellent everyday flyer. My yellow f15 is next now that i got my 2.4 9303 radio i can finish assembling it, all the servos are in i just need to set the points, The gear is already installed and plumbed and my belly tank's installed. Should be flying by eom.

Congrats Kevin. With time you will learn that most turbine jets actually fly pretty good, they're just different one from the other.
Some people will actually tell you that flying a Yellow F-15 is actually just as easy as flying an XL, just different.

Anyway, looks like you are in it for good. Welcome and hope to see you here in Tx soon. We have a really good group and there's always something going on.

So exactly when did you make those 19 flights?

2 sundays and a few week days, heck first day i flew It i flew five flights at Approximately 4 gallons, and i've used 3 full 5 gallon drums and 1/3 way through the 4th so...
matter of fact its 1042am here and i have 4 flights in already . Going back in the evening to get some more.
