DV8R Landing Gear help

Take a look at the ones from the Lightning..I remember those to be pretty big. Maybe a chance they may work and carry the weight as well.

I had my DV8R units made to order by a company in Canada, superb quality, sliding parts are brass on brass and anti torque pins are multiple rollers etc. These units are made to your drawings.

Dennis,
Robart makes this gear and brake set ONLY once they have orders for a certain number of sets.
A friend of mine went through this same problem and waited well over 4 months to get his order.
I really think you are looking at custom made gear if you want it sooner than that.
I think the DV8R is a really cool looking in flight and it certainly is big and I know you like BIG!

The ones from the Lightning are the Behotec C50's. You can get them along with several different sizes/styles of struts from Peter at Altecare:

He's been great to deal with for me and the Behotec gear for the Flash (C36/2) have been great - once I modified them for 8mm pins (the C50's already use 8mm pins, I believe).

I'll get my friend to measure his struts from where they enter the trunion block to the wheel axle center to see if the Lightning units would work.

"The spring action is oil dampened and the struts are available in lengths from 4 7/32†(107mm) up to 7 3/32†(180mm)..."

I have a new dv8r nose gear I do not need and would be willing to sell. I built a FA18 style twin wheel nose gear for my dv8r so I do not need the original nose strut. Email me if you are interested.

Mike,
3" nose wheel, The actual strut is 5 7/8 from the axle to the bottom of the steering arm. The length including the steering arm is 6 3/8.
