About the Kingcat...
I wonder how much capacity has the 2 mains tanks?
I´ll be using a P-120...so I´m considering the eliminate the 16oz hopper tank...
If there other reason than increasing fuel capacity to use this hopper tank?
BTW...I'm having fun putting this bird toguether...and so far haven't done any modification [&o]...everything is so neat and clean...
Thanks,
Miguel

I built mine with only the 2 main tanks and the UAT. I fly for 7 minutes from geat up to gear down and I still have a lot of fuel left. I thought the instructions said with all 3 tanks and the UAT there was something like 150oz. Minus the 16 oz SUllivan boat tank still leaves a lot of fuel and fun.

As I recall, the KingCat fuel system total is 4.8 litres (or, 162.3 oz). Rounding down, 162 oz.
Deduct the 16 oz. header, the 4 oz. UAT, and you have 142 oz. in the mains....so, each main tank contains 71 oz.
I have a P-120 in one of mine, and I set the timer for 10 minutes, then land. That amount of time leaves enough gas for a couple of go-arounds.
I also have a newly finished one powered by a Titan, but haven't flown it yet.

Miguel,
I feel that it is safer to land with a little excess fuel aboard than to run dry during a go-around. Been there, done that. I have used the space behind the fuel cells (behind the aft spar) to contain two 16 oz. Kraft-Hayes tanks in series for the smoke fluid. Only 32 oz. of Smoke oil doesn't last long, but it's better than nothing.
