i got my digital camera today, and decided my first picture that i show anyone is going to be my work area.
i built this bench a few weeks ago.Its so much easier to work on things when you have something like this with all kinds of tools handy.
its got a power strip mounted to the side with all kinds of goodies plugged into it.
dremmel
soldiering iron
AA battery charger
glow charger
saws-all
corder drill- crappy but it works for now
one of my fav pieces is my VISE !!
man what a luxury a vise is....i love it. only $30
a few more goodies in the near future like a second bench with a drill press and a band saw mounted on it.
one thing i need to do is get some nice flourescent lights to go on the ceiling. it only has a single bulb up there now and it dont cut it. i put up the halogen lights, but boy once summer comes ill be roasting in there cause those lights are hot.
show us some your work areas. i know not everyone can dedicate some garage space to r/c or a work bench but let us see when your addiction is played out.

yeah it makes life so much easier.
i used to work in the kitchen but would always get interrupted or would have to stop in the middle of something. i live with my sister and nephew so there isnt a lot of traffic but it still sucked.
then i would try and work in my bedroom down stairs, but try to use a kitchen chair or the floor as a work bench sucked.

on the bench is my new (but used) Gs Storm
top shelf on the right is the nitro stampede
top shelf on the left is the maximum st (old torq .12)
bottom shelf is the maximum bx (old torq .12)
i got those older cars when i was first getting into the hobby and they were great for what they were....starter cars.
after some thinking of getting a tmaxx-savage or on-road i settled ona 1/8th buggy with the hopes of the NY parks dept letting us build a track. and that 1/8th was a nice deal. my xs3 radio is bhind the buggy on the bench.
just waitin gon my starter box to let it go rip.
you got a work area?

I've got a door sitting on 8 cinder blocks in my room but its covered in stereo/computer equipment till I get the car.I've just been using a corner of it to do bodywork on the HPI Eclipse body I ordered ahead of time.I've got a flourescent desk lamp and the overhead room light and it works out pretty good.

see my brand spanking new xs3 sitting there?
well i left it a little to close to the light and it warped the plastic
at first i could use the left steering trim and i almost pooped my pants. it still works 100% now but i was scared. the plastic is a little funny looking.

Hey Pac Fan if you need some lights up there I can talk you through it. It would not take you but about an hour work and maybe $40 and you would be set. I have installed hundreds of lights, I was an electrician in my younger days. let me know.

Ah, the wonders of apartment living.....at least I have a garage though. Here's my workbench...
It's an aluminum camping table. It folds up and goes into a canvas bag that's about 6"x6"x50". Not the best, but it is portable!

I have to work on my cars and planes in the living room. Theres balsa wood shavings all over the place. The rest of my family hates it! Our *new* house will be done this fall...
