Brillelli 46GT Tank size

Hi sdstick06, I just bought one of these engines too( on the classifieds here at rcu) thats basically new- its had 2 flights supposedly.
What ultimate are you going to mount this on? Mine is going on a skyshark christen eagle. I would figure a 20 oz tank would give you a good 12-15 minute flight time, with a little reserve for landing. Maybe someone with more knowledge than me will chime in and verify this.
What is your plane going to weigh and what prop are you planning on please? Tell us about it. I'll subscribe to this thread so I can keep up with you
Thanks, and where is Murphreesboro located? Im in Birmingham.

I was going to suggest a 12 to 16 oz. tank. You really don't want to carry more fuel than you are going to burn during the average flight. It is just extra weight that robs performance.
Gas engines get super fuel economy when compared to glow, as I'm sure you know. Couple that with flying at reduced throttle most of the time, except for ascents and you have an engine that actually burns very little fuel.

Have the B-46 in a TFGS Mustang at 22# .. Running a 21/8 Xoar ... Using a 20oz tank, it can safely give a 12 min. flight.
This has been a dependable powerful engine, and hauls the Pony with ease.. Really sad about Scott and his business, Brillelli had a great customer base....
