Hey I finally am about to order a new truck...a T-MaxX, and I was gonna use one of those tower hobbies discount codes and save like $15-30 or so. But all the ones I saw that people put up on these boards expired 5/5. If anyone knows the latest codes I'd be a happy whoL|gan if you could let me know. Thanks

Codes?
When Tower offers specials they are on a monthly basis, there are no SECRET codes....lol
The specials are advertised right on the main page of the website.
They also have a clickable link for "Specials" on the website.
If you join as a member you will also get free shipping and notices by email and regular mail of coupons and specials.
Pay ATTENTION!

You only get the free shipping if you join the Super Saver Club and spend $150.00 or more on each order. The Annual fee is $29.99, but they had it on special for $14.99. You can ask for their econo ground shipping and it will only cost you $4.99 instead of the $7.99. The only difference is they ship it through the post office instead of UPS.

What I did was when I was placing my order for my SportMaxx was tell the lady on the phone at Tower was that I had an e-mail from them that gave me a discount but I had accidently deleted it. The lady then went to someone else and got a code for me. My code was for $20, but the code she used was for $25. It wasn't a lie, I did delete my code, but I wasn't about to tell her it was for only $20 instead of $25.
The people at Tower are great to deal with.

USPS compleatly blows. Last tiem i shipped through them they lost a $200 package. I called and they said "we don't make mistakes."
Alwayse use a credit card to order so you can dispute payment in case USPS loses your order!

I guess everyone has a shipping horror story. I try like hell not to use UPS after they destroyed two packages and lost a third. Sure thier insurance covered the losses, but what a pain to deal with!! Since then I've shipped everything with Priority Mail and never have had a problem, yet.

Thats a sick joke Spad. Rest assured that I have his package safe and sound under the tire of the UPS truck for safe keeping. So don't loose any sleep over it.

Codes are on the front page of the website, they are also under the specials section.
Does someone need a class in web browsing?
LOL

Meant to add this in the last post.
I have been a Tower customer for quite a few years, in all my years buying models and items from them I have only had one issue. Thats was a broken wing that was damaged in shipment, a call and they quickly rushed me out another wing no questions asked.
As for the shipping, you get what you pay for. The economy shipping is just that...ECONOMY, apparently some people dont understand what that means.
In most cases it could take up to more than a week to get your package and they usually do not have any tracking available.
Your package will take the longest route and be in shipment for a much longer time, this equals to more chances for your package to get kicked around, pissed on, or whatever.
If you are ordering basic supplies like glow plugs, tools, parts and so forth this method of shipment is fine.
However, if your ordering a $400 truck or model of high value it really does not make sense to ship it the cheapest way.
Use the coupons and specials they offer and get express shipment. You will pay more but you will be able to track you package and it will arrive in a couple of days.
That amounts to less time for the package to get damaged and less time to worry about it.
If you item is on backorder then you can check the towerhobbies website to see the status. If you had shipped with a better quality of service you would also be able to track it right from the site.

If you get the e-mailed news letter they send out every few weeks they usually offer you a greater discount than the measly ones that are on their web page. as for shipping, if you are buying any typical or basic parts you can use their Parts Express shipping which only costs $3.00. Smaller packages, less weight, therefore lower shipping cost. As for the economy shipping I'm only 3 hours away from Champaign, Ill. So the economy couriour picks it up at Tower and it is dropped off at the post office where I live. You can follow the package with the tracking code that is e-mailed to you when they confirm your order no matter what form of shipping you choose. I have been ordering from Tower since the early 90's and have never had any major problems with Tower or their economy shipping. Not trying to start a war here, just trying to help give some other options.
