Right now I have a ETK Electrick thunder king, I Can convert it to a NTK Nitro T hunder king for about $350 including a nice .21 engin.
I was also told to look at getting a new T-maxx with the 2.5 instead, but im not sure im convinced I should ditch my Thunder king.
http://www.nitroextreme.com has some cool videos of an NTK in action.
Which would be a better bet NTK (1/8 scale) or T-Maxx?

Also, How much does 4WD help on 1/8th scale? Is it really necessary? The NTK is only 2 WD will that be good enough to get up A sand hill?

i read that whole thing you posted, but it really did not help me decide. I guess ill jsut convert the Thunder King to Nitro to have something different and extreamly fast.

Definately stay with the Thunder King! Do the conversion, the TK was intended to be Nitro! They are bigger and a lot tougher than the traxxas vehicles. Get with the guys on the nitroextreme board (ask BOSS) they're really good about answering questions...

You're right, you probably could buy a Maxx for about the same price. Personally I would rather have a nitro Thunder King than a T-Maxx. Even putting the size and superior durability aspects aside, I just like the design of the TK (.21 engine, 2wd, dual servo steering, ect.) I look forward to going head on with one of the new sport maxx's one of these days...

Wreclse, if you do let me know the outcome. I love my sportmaxx. I was surprised to check out in the RC Monster Truck this month that in a drag race, a sport can beat a t on a shorter, high traction drag.
