Default whats a good choice for a first nitro truck

i need to know if the 2.5 nitro rustler or the rc10gt plus rtr is a better choice (durability, speed, handling, maintainance, etc.) I heard the rustler goes about 50 and the rc10 goes about 35, but can i get the rc10 to go faster, like with a new engine? my LHS supports parts for both, and i have had a lot of experience with an electric and i help my friend with fixing his tmaxx (even though i dont have a gas car) thanks

i have an rc10gt. the thing with them is that parts dont break, instead they just usually fall out of place.

personally i would save up money for the adam drake team losi, but its a bit pricey

Get the Losi XXNT.It's got an awsome radio and from what i've read it is just as good if not better than the RC10 GT.I have an old skool Rustler with the old .15 and love it for bashing around. It does break quit a bit but the parts are cheap and easy to find.If you want a good racer/basher get the Losi or the RC10 Gt.

An RC10 will go way faster than 35!

I would get a rustler. They say that they are indestructible!

Default RUSTLER???????

If this is your first truck then you may want the convenience of the push start. Don't listen to everyone else in the other forums that say the 2.5 is hard to tune and tempermental. It's not. But the Ruslter is very quick for a begginer though. If you do get the ruslter get the aluminum shock towers immediatley and some 60 weight shock oil and aluminum shock caps. The plastic/graphite shock towers are ****!!! I also went from only 2 feet of air of a 1 foot ramp to airing over my car with the heavier shock oil.

Good luck
