Hey guys, I'm really new to the Nitro R/C Scene and need some help. Right now I'm considering buying the HPI RS4 3 Type SS, I think it should be pretty cool putting it all together.
I was wondering how much an onroad car like that can handle terrain wise, can you run it in the rain or in puddles, or should you avoid water all together.
How fast can it go, without any hop-ups, right out of the box.
The thing that has been bugging me was the radio, I don't know what to buy. Should I buy a 2 channel or a 3 channel? Does this kit only need a 2 Ch. and will I ever need a 3 Ch.? FM or AM is the higher cost for FM worth it?
Is there a way to get the ability to reverse in this car?
Is Red Alert 20% Fuel fine, or should I go for the more expensive.
What does running the engine lean mean? Do I need to invest in any oil at all, other than the ones in the kit?
For the body I have read you should make holes in the windows for good airflow for the nitro engine, it this really necessary?
Sorry if these questions are lame, and thanks in advance for help/advice.

The type ss is an on road car only. It's only like 4mm off the ground so no it won't go in the grass or dirt or anything like that.Electronics and water do not mix so steer clear of anything wet you don't want to ruin an expensive servo or receiver.I believe the SS goes 46mph out of the box witch is plenty fast for a beginner trust me.There is no way to make it reverse and you only need a two channel radio.Get an FM radio. They might be more pricey but are well worth the extra cash.Just do some more research on the car before you buy it and get a good understanding of nitro engines before you go out and drive it.Take the time to read and learn everything first that way you don't cause any damage to your car or engine. The kit comes with tuning instructions so again just take your time and learn whats what before hand and if you have anymore ????? just ask and someone here will have an answer.
