I just recently purchased a tamiya cc-01 jeep wrangler and was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on bearings. I really don't want to spend almost $100 on acer racing bearings. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I would like to have a pretty good bearing, but really don't feel like spending a whole lot of money. This jeep is going to be a scale crawler if that helps at all. Thanks in advance!

There is a section near the bottom for some duratrax ball bearings. If you don't want duratrax then atleast you know how many and what size.

LOL, isn't the first time tower made a mistake. How do you drive your CC01? I had duratrax "teflon" shielded bearings in my m03 and after I tried rally driving in loose dirt, the bearing were rather crunchy. I had to take apart and clean all of the bearings before they'd roll somewhat smoothly again. So if you are going to do a lot of high speed dirt driving, you should think about getting rubber shielded bearings (or at least metal shielded) in places that aren't inside a case.

get the metal or rubber shielded b's. cant tell u how many duratrax bearings ive been through, and if your hitting water just use the oem bushings up front. those are just fine for low speed wet/muddy conditions
