So after my screw up with my windshield tint (bubbles all over and creases as well after all the air bubble tricks I can think of) on my 07 Subaru WRC I am thinking of fixing it up and making it my show body.
Which means....
What is the most ridiculous body I can mount on the Tamiya DF-03Ra chassis truck wise? I'm looking for a 190mm off-road truck body for a rally car chassis....that way I still get decent ground clearance if I decide to go mudding as I am waterproofing this rally car.
Thinking about maybe a pick-up body or SUV body but definitely not a soccer mom Hummer H2 offered by HPI.

I know HPI has a few weird ones not sure if they would fit your car though.
Only one that MIGHT fit is the ATV-1 and unfortunately it doesn't come in one part the 3 have to be bought seperately

HPIs site with how it looks [link=http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/7164/]painted[/link]
Its for the e-savage but they claim it fits almost all MTs and could maybe be made to fit your application

Don't rule out 200mm either, the wheels will only be tucked in a little. HPI and others have quite a selection in that size too.

most if not all the other cars out there that call themselves rally cars are no more than touring cars with rally bodies on them.
you can get the tamiya df03ra in a variety of wrc rally bodies too.

Well that's my build so far....im wondering if the ESC will overheat in the latex waterproofing I did...
Will the stock Tamiya ESC with the kit have thermal shutdown to prevent it from frying?

I geared down a bit...plus I'm running the stock motor so we will see. I was going to balloon it but went latex instead since latex is thicker.
If the ESC gets fried I'll just get the Traxxas XL-5 waterproof to make it cleaner looking....is there another cheap waterproof ESC besides the XL-5?

If I where you i'd wrap that receiver in the balloon and get yourself a waterproof XL5 ESC. I've had them completely under water with no problems.

Unforunately the Traxxas RX is too big to fit inside the balloon which is why I went with a latex glove and double zip tied both ends...is there anything else I would need to do?
