I AM LOOKING FOR A T4 TO RACE AT MY LOCAL TRACK. I HAVE NOTICED THERE ARE DIFFERENT VERSIONS. WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RACE SPEC VERSION AND FACTORY TEAM VERSION.

the FT is just loaded with everything you'd want to race with, i'd go for the FT if you can spend the extra $50 the stuff they add isn't needed by any means but its all cool hopups

tires, suspention, battery, servo, and if you get a decent motor thats class legal you'll be fine, both IMO those are the top things to look into for racing about in that order

I believe the rtr versions use bushings in certain areas, namely the gearbox. Personally I don't see any reason to get the FT (currently have a FT B4) besides the bearings in the gearbox and threaded shocks instead of using clips. If your just starting out, you are better off with the race spec because all of the chassis parts are plastic instead of carbon, which greatly helps with durability. Heck, most of the team drivers end up using the plastic chassis for more flex anyways, but this is on the b4, not sure on the t4. I personally replaced my carbon parts with plastic parts once I broke the carbon originals. If you like the bling consider picking up a used ft and throw in a brushless and lipo, can't be beat for run time and performance, then just replace any arms or shock towers with plastic ones as I did
rclugnut10 nailed the hop ups as far as order of importance.
