using lipos with the losi desert truck 1/10

was woundering if it would be ok to use 2s 7.4 v lipos with the stock desert truck speed controler if it would do any harm to it somewhere i read not to use lipos and i read somewhere people using lipo need help i have 2 lipos but now i dont know what to do

Beyond the LVC, there is no reason you can't use a 2S lipo on any ESC that can handle a 7 cell nimh. The esc doesn't know or care what type of battery technology you're using, all it sees are voltage and amps. Just make sure if you don't use a LVC to check the voltage of the battery with a voltage meter and stop at 6.6v.

well if the esc can handle it and burn up then it is time to go brushless but would like to sell it to someone that could use it tahn kill it

i have to change the plug on the battery it is ok to sodier them right i have never done batterys only esc and chargers just dont be dumb and let the wires touch each other right
