Default SC truck as much fun as a Stadium Truck?

I've been seeing a lot of people loving the new SC trucks (Slash, SC10, Blitz) and while I haven't seen or played with one yet I'm not sure if they're the thing for me. I got into this hobby after seeing a stadium truck (Rustler). I guess the oversized wheels/tires and the looks that appealed to me. But it seems like ST racing has taken a serious nose dive. Are the SC trucks as much fun to drive as like the Rustler VXL?

Since the slash is pretty much based on the rustler they are pretty close to being the same. The tires are narrower and the shocks are softer stock to get the realistic body roll but yes they are fun.

I've only mainly driven a slash (drove some buddies stuff for a few mins before). I can say that I have a ton of fun driving mine, whether it be in the parking lot or at the track.

Good deal. So basically these SC are based off of ST but with scale bodies and tires/wheels? I really enjoyed the Rustler VXL I had. I'm looking at getting a coupla yards of fill dirt to build a track with.

YES SIR they're at least as much fun if not more. Combining scale looks with solid performance is a great combination.

For bashing, ST's are more fun. For racing slash spec class, SC trucks are by far more fun. ST's have better performance for bashing but in racing when everyone has the same car and equipment it is alot more fun because of the spec class.

Well I'm not sure how much organized racing I'd be doing. Mostly just around the house and such. Like I said earlier I"m working on getting a backyard track built. I can definately see where everyone having a spec class truck would be more fun rather than the guy/girl with the most $$$ winning.

Sorry but this is completely incorrect. The Slash is based on the Stampede I believe, The Rustler is based on the Bandit, they are polar opposites, just look underneath one and the differences are night and day.

95% of local tracks have a Slash spec class. Doesnt hurt to see if you have one locally.

I've had both the rustler and the slash... the rustle/slash/stampede share a lot of parts... never had a bandit though so wouldn't know about them. The slash has way more in common with ST's than MT's. So it's not completely incorrect, maybe somewhat incorrect....

Also, and this is my personal opinion, please don't just post to point out an error in someone elses post. At least make the effort to contribute to the thread as well. I know everyone likes feeling superior for knowing more than another and pointing that out in as many ways as possible... but try to answer the OP as well, then you don't look like a complete dufus....

the ST Trucks handle 100 times better than the SC trucks , there is no comparison but what they are knocks of of. if you want something that handles great then the ST truck is for you but in tall grass its horrible. if you want something that looks good and looks scale and needs some finess in driving then the sc truck is for you. then you can get the carnage bodys and really have some scale fun
the SC trucks are all about fun and having a good time and also being competitive and bumping into each other , I love it

I mean they use a totally different chassis and one is low cg and the other is high cg. The Rustler and Bandit are near identical.

i honestly think that people are getting into SC racing for the same reason they were into 1/10 2wd buggies, back in the 90's and early to mid 2000's from what i've read they were THE class like 1/8 truggy/buggy is now, and they were THE class because they were simple, fast and super racable, yet were limited on traction, now we have the same thing with SC trucks just bigger, and they started off as MT's for the most part, i think we'll see that the winning SC trucks in a year or so (so ppl can dial in teh others) are gunna be teh SC10 and blitz cuz of thier ST heratige

and yes in general 1/10 electric has died down alot in favor of 1/8 nitro and now electric too, but i think there's a comback, or maybe it'll just get blow away by 1/8 again, thats what killed 1/10 nitro too 1/8

I think the key to the SC truck success is the big bodies and ability to rub-n-race.

+1, 1/10 gas truck died down because it was no fun running on super rough 1/8 tracks with 50 foot jumps and step up's. If you can't beat them join them!
