Does anyone know if the HPI 190mm bodies fit on the Tamiya DF-03Ra?I have seen HPI 200mm/190mm bodies on TT-01s and such with off-sets.
HoweverI plan on keeping the DF-03Ra with as little off-set as possible so just wondering if 190mm HPI body will fit on DF-03Ra chassis?
I heard the middle section of the body maybe wider?

It should fit... but you might need some offset wheels or hexes to widen it a bit. I have an HPI 190mm M3 GTR body on my TT01 and it looks weird with the wheels tucked deep inside the fenders

You could run these in combination to push the wheels out some:

I just tried putting my AE86 body on the DF03 and it looks odd to say the least. You would need to seriously widen the stance as the wheels sit far inside the wheel wells.

TheOneS911,
I am thinking of putting on this body:
HPINitro MX1 Truck Body....I think it's meant for the Firestorm
http://www.rcplanet.com/PhotoDetails...ctCode=HPI7161
Basically I am looking for a desert buggy/truck camo look running the DF-03Ra chassis as it was designed from the Dark Impact chassis.
Here are my custom light setup and waterproofed...looking to get a VXL5 ESC soon as the waterproofed ESC that came with the Tamiya kit will definitely overheat eventually

Oh, I am not selling my body that is just my completed body with custom lights and customized tail lights.
I am just wondering if the HPINitro MX1truck body will fit on the DF-03Ra as it was built from a buggy setup...trying to get a desert buggy look

Sorry mate, stopped by Greenfield News and Hobbies, and didn't find that body. All I could find were HPI muscle cars, a couple Tamiya Japanese bodies, and some random Traxxas and assorted Pro-Line bodies.

No problem on that one I just picked up a beater body for the rallycar...HPI Lotus Elise 190mm fits on there very snug. I will have to cutthe wheel wells a little open as the wheelbase is about .2 inchesshorter than the DF-03Ra
I will be painting the Lotus in Tamiya's Dark Metallic Green with thestock bronze rims....will post pics when done should look prettyclean...too bad i got into a car accident on the way home...
No one was hurt but man should have been paying more attention! Drive safe out there guys. Looks like I won't be buying anything for a while...btw picked up a TT-01E with the GTR body painting in Tamiya's dark metallic pink with metallic gunmental trim to match the gunmetal rims for my girlfriend....will post pics later
