So I just fixed my stampede and went to drive it and it was going REALLY slow. So I figured the battery was low and wanted to drain the battery all the way. Well after my battery and titan 550 electric motor were HOT! I dont know why this is?
Could it of been because of the 23 tooth pinion gear?
Also my servo was making a noise when it was sitting there with the battery in, is that normal?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Lots of people burn the titans up. If I were you I would've geared it down a bit. TBH I would never have included that pinion with the stampede if I were making them.

You will burnit up in a heart beat at 23, trust me I know. I have brunt a few of them up for diff reasons LOL. Your best bet is 19t/90t and depending on where/how you run it may still get warm. I run mine in grass up an down hills so mine heats up QUICK. I am lookin for a heatsink/heatfins to help keep it cool.

check it buy turning your rear wheels. They should spin freely, if they dont want to turn your binding up some where. Slipper clutch I tighten down, but then again I dont much like wasted power =)~. As for fixing your diff, well I cant offer any better advice then to visit Traxxas website or look in your owners manual for the exploded pics on how things go together. I am NOT a good teacher sorry =/

So I changed the pinion gear back to the 19 and adjusted the slipper clutch and went back out to try it again with a fully charged battery. I turned it on and went to go and nothing happened. Everytime id pull the trigger/throttle it would just blink green. Its makin a quiet noise coming from the motor but its not spinning.

Thats NOT a good sign. First set your truck on somethin to hold the wheels off the ground, so it cant move, then unplug your motor from the ESC, should be 2 bullet cons. Take a AA battery an hook the battery to the motor, if it turns you got other porblems <doubt it> If it dont turn your motor is fried. If thats the case its the perfect time to upgrade!! Give me a holler had the same problem you do now and got some really good ideas from these guys I'd be glad to pass along in the morning!

you can't hook the AA up to it wrong, lol, it would just turn backwards. Well....I guess you could do it wrong if you weren't attaching the motor leads to the terminals....lol

Good question Doxiedad, gonna have to look that up as I have been wondering how to take care of my NiMh's. An dBrain is right you cant hook it up wrong it just spins the other way =)
EDIT after doin some lookin on the net an reading several different views they all say the same thing NEVER run a NiMh below .9v a cell. or 5.4 volts for a 6 cell pack, 6.3 for a 7 cell pack. This is not good on them. so learn somethin new every day =)</p>
