I'm looking for a kit that is 4wd, I would probably use my Sidewinder/vxl and rest of my slash stuff in it. What is a decent kit out there. I like the idea of truggys but they all look really expensive. Any suggestions?

You can spend alot of money and go 1/8 which is alot faster and more durable, or get a Tamiya 4wd buggy kit, or a race bred 4wd 1/10 buggy which arent really durable at all.

Your brushless combo wouldn't be very good in an 1/8th scale application, specially a truggy. If you geared it for any speed at all it would get hot.

df 02 tamiya, cheap, easy to fix and durable, about $115 US as a buggy but you got the wheel and body on your slash, don't get no cheaper, here is a stocker being beat on

There are several 4wd Tamiya buggy kits that would probably fit your needs well and would work great with your motor: DF-02, DF-03, & DB-01 to start with. If you're not looking for a literal "kit" as you mentioned but wanting something RTR you can get a DF-02 XB (Tamiya's lingo for RTR) from EBay or Hong Kong based stores like RCmart.</p>

An old HPI RS4 MT (see avatar) will set you back $60 to $70 on eBay for a roller, but parts are getting harder and harder to source.
The Thunder TIger Sparrowhawk XT is a brand new, shaft-driven 1/10 truggy. I've heard lots of good things about it...
