Default Help! Stampede

My standards plugs connecting the battery and xl5 esc on my stampede like fused together after driving. They wont come apart. Its happened before but thought the issue was resolved. What causes this and any tips to undo them?

There is nothing you can really do because the plugs on there will do it again. Go to you LHS and get some Dean's plugs and replace the stock plugs, make sure you put the male deans plug on the esc and the female on the battery.

Were they traxxas plugs? I think he said standard probably tamiya. They will always melt with too much power. I like deans and traxxas.

yeah, he said "standard" so he either means standard to the car, or considers molex/tamiya standard (which I know many people)
tamiya are not suited for high current applications.

Yeah, they are the tamiya plugs. I didnt know the name till now. So I should just snip it and get deans plugs? What about my charger? Do they have like a converter from tamiya to deans or do I need to sauder deans on there?

an adapter is ok for charging, since it is lower amps. but on your vehicle deans or traxxas is the way to go.

You might as well change the plug on the charger to.

Why not just buy the Tamiya to Deans adapter for a few bucks, at least that way if he does still have some old packs he can still charge them
