Default RC-10 Gold Pan ?

A question for you old timers. Im trying to resurect an old RC-10 Gold pan for my grandkids. It has the stock resistor speed control. Way back in the day I faintly remember a simple mod to provide reverse with that unit. With the grandkids running it in the drivewa/street reverse would be a big help. Anybody remember what the wiring diagram looked like or for that matter where one might find info on this mod?

I used to have a manual speed control in my stampede and I always remember it having reverse. Maybe your servo does not turn all the way backwards? i'm not really too sure though. Also this thread should be in the on-road section

RC10 is onroad?

fargophil - I'm not sure, but gelbschnee might be on the right track. The manual ESCs I grew up with (Optima, etc) had reverse. Maybe the stock RC10s was different, but I don't know why it would be. Sorry we can't help, other than saying "check that servo"....

Thanks for the help but checked the arm movement/servo and this one does not have a reverse.
As stated in the original post, there was a specific mod to do it. Did it to a friends Rc-10 but for some reason never bothered to do mine.

I am getting stumped searching for this mod. Can you post a schematic/diagram of this speed control? I might be able to design something that works the way you want it to.

probably the easiest 'mod' would be a used esc to replace that msc, you can find them for $20 in the classifieds here.
