Hey guys. I've been posting around about buggies and nitro and stuff. But after reading many comments and reviews im leaning twards electric. Only because you don't have to worrie about gas, cleaning, glow plugs, noise in a quiet neighborhood and other stuff. When with electric you got a fast car you can just charge, go, and have fun. Anyways, I have a rustler where if i was going to get a new car i would sell. But I was looking at getting a brushless system and slash roller kit and other parts to make the backslash. I don't know what specifically I need. Do you think it would be smart to do? Also is it a good car overall. Does it have good handling? I have about $450 to spend so anything around that would be good. Anything would help. Thanks!

idk thats a hrad question to answer. like what are you planning to do to the roller? just buy stock traxxas parts or get good quality servos an all that other good stuff. If i had that money i would wait for the 4x4 slash to come out with.
but if your just looking to make your own personal slash do some research on your own make it your project. find out what the correct servos you can use, different tires that can go on, and paint up a sweet body for it too. do your thing man

Thats what I am thinking about doing. Man. A 4x4 brushless buggy would be great for a winter project. And cheeper for me too! I could hook it up with a 5000 mah batt, big bore shocks. Whoo that would be nice haha.
When is the 4x4 slash commin out and how much?

The slash 4x4 is coming out sometime in early dec. most likely before xmas. but i have seen it for sale for $390 to $400. comes brushless, 2.4ghz radio, an 7cell batt. you get the complete package. i dont think the charger they give you is very good but it works. but over all i am looking forward to the 4x4 slash an thinking of getting one myself

Like to see someone else try it out first and see how it does on the track. There's already one on youtube that's 2wd,
looked like it performed pretty good. I'm sure a 4wd would be identical to 8th electric.
"Hey is that an 8th electric?" nope it's a slash....lol

Haha exactly! I just wish they could come out with a 4x4 roller kit too. It would be nice to have one without any electronics so I could upgrade with different motor charger servos ect.

Me thinks it would be cheaper to buy the RTR and sell the "extras".
P.S. I haven't bought anything from those guys so I can't vouch for the site. I saw it posted in the Traxxas forums.

I believe it's a slash converted to a buggy with 1/8 size wheels, body and wing.
Here is what might be the original, not sure on that though.
