Complete setup recommendations

Hi Ritchie

I am looking for a complete setup recommendation from you for two planes. I would like to use the power expander and pin switches in both cases. I can program the servos myslef so I do not need the equalizers

1st plane:

GP Ultimate with seven Hitec 5945 servos on the surfaces
I would like to use as I already have them two 2400Mah Fromeco Li-IONs
The reciever is a JR649 PCM
The plane is already built and has the Optical kill and the Fromeco Pin Superegulated switches. I do not mind removing those and going with standard Pin switches

2nd Plane

On order is a GP Cap232
I also would like to use the same Li-IOn setup as the biplane for this. It will have the same 5945 servos but only 5 of them. I need to purchase everything for this plane

If you need more info just let me know

Hi Bill,
For the GP Ultimate you can keep your Fromeco regulators if you want, I an not sure what version you have as far as output configuration on these. They need to have Deans on the outputs. Matching them may be a lttile hard to get even battery draw.

For the FP Cap I would suggest the SuperReg along with the PowerExpander. It has a Pin&Flag failsafe switch with it. I would suggest the Ignition Cutoff also.

Let me know if I missed something here.

RE: Complete setup recommendations

The regulators in the Ultimate are the Super Switch type which means they are built into the Pin type switch and all connectors are JR. I have no problem resoldering Deans if need be

I already have output matched to 6 volts so that's not a problem. With this then and if I understood all of this correctly, All I would need is the Power Expander and resolder the correct Deans connectors One would be female and one would be male so I can plug them both into the power expander or did I miss something.

As far as the Cap goes I can order the batteries with whatever connector I like so being I only have 5 servos running and again if I understand this I could,go with this seetup

2 Fromeco 2400's with Deans connectors going into the SuperReg then a pair of Deans jumpers into the Power Expander

I hope I got it right this time. :D;)

Oh yea, of course the Optical Cutoff...That's a given for me

Hi Bill,
You are correct, you just need to solder on Deans connectors, one male and one female. I am not sure what kind of regulator/switch you are talking about. Not familiar with one of Fromeco's regulators being built into the switch.

Yes, for the Cap you have it right.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
