Last night after sunset a new speed record was set at Legg Lake in LA. Tyler Garrard broke the old record of 140 mph set in 2006 - his boat averaged 143.94 mph. It was a wood/composite outrigger Tyler designed and built using a Lehner motor and 10 cells. After wrecking the boat several times over the weekend he finally put all the pieces together and broke the record......almost in the dark. Congratulations Tyler!

Twenty minutes after sunset is pretty dark for decent video. There were a few with cell phones but so far I have not seen any posted.
