Default What boat to get?

Getting back into the hobby, used to have a rio ep.
looking for something to drive on ponds and possibly a river (deep enough it doesnt need to be a jet boat)
im wanting faster than 30mph... i have a brand new shockwave 26" i can buy for 150 bucks or an atomik barbwire (original not the second) for 60 but needs a rx and tx..

If it self rights, thats cool, if it doesnt cool too haha.

i feel i would be happy with a boat that can do 40 so mph and handle a little bit of chop (hence wanting a deep v).

i would really like to keep it <300 if i have to buy a battery or two..
ive been looking at the blackjack 26 cat, but unsure still

Any suggestions?!

Hi.
If 40mph is what you want then the choices you listed are not going to make it, You will be hard pressed to find a new boat that runs 40mph for under $300.00 including the 5 or 6-cell battery that is required to hit that speed.

If you want self-righting you will have to stick with a V-hull like the Recoil 26 ,but that won't quite make it to 40mph.
