New Boat Build - Help Needed
#1

Good day fellow hobby enthusiasts,
We are building a new custom fibreglass monohull baitboat for fishing, approx 51inch / 130cm.
We have burned out multiple motors and esc's and it's very frustrating.
Our newly planned setup as follows:
4082 Rocket x2 (1900kv) 25v 130A
16000mah 15c 6s x1 (22.2v)
180A Seaking v3 x2
5mm shafts
Dont know what prop size is applicable.
Please verify if this setup is suitable, It should be running at around 1900x22.2v = 42180 RPM.
The boat is fairly heavy with the big battery and Autopilot/GPS and Fishfinder tech built into it, This boat needs to be bulletproof as it will be used to travel long distances 300m+ hence why we would like to maximize speed and reliability.
Please help.

I would check with a company called Offshore Electrics. They would probably know more about what motors and ESCs to use than anyone. Their website is https://www.offshoreelectrics.com/

The only glaring issue I see is the battery. RC boats are harder on batteries than just about any other application, and 15C batteries are not going to cut it. For a boat that size 50C would be a minimum and 100C preferable.

Sounds like a lot of rpm for a 50” boat ..can go with lower kv motors to help with high temps. I surpass makes a 4092 1520kv motor. Can always check YouTube for similar builds to get an idea, too. Sounds like an a awesome build, regardless 👍👍👍
