UNOFFICIAL CEN EP BOATING FORUM
I dont know if i can really start this but o well.
I recently recieved my cen wave shark arr from www.offshoreelectrics.com and am having a blast with it. it goes extremely fast stock 20+ mph. i can get about 5-7 minutes out of 7cell 1900 batts on the 775 motor. i am using 2 towerhobbies servos and a traxxas radio. everyone else on the lake loves it and wants one now. i measured the speed by running it alongside our 21' larson runabout. this thing gets a lot of air on the waves so i decided to jump our own wake and managed to flip it [X(] everything was ok though. not too much water got inside and everything still works. We are planning to take our trip to lake Shelbyville in illinois in a few weeks and im taking my wave shark with me. we live a block away from a private 600 acre lake (Spoon lake or Oak Run) it is also in illinois. so it was a sin not to own a rc boat.
that was my story so lets hear yours! Send in pics and tell what hopups you have installed and also give your opinions on the good/bad qualities of CEN EP Boats. here are a few pics of my wave shark without the rider. i will try to get a video of my boat up sometime next week.
thanks
John

The Shark is the fastest of the Cen Hulls. Think its fast now put a 700bb turbo and 16cell and hold on!
Make sure to tape the hatch all the way around the rub rail. It makes flipping fun and less work drying everything off inside.
Also if your planning on jumping waves use Velcro tie down to hold the cells in. They will get loose.

The Wave Shark is faster than the AquaJet? On your custom 700bb boats, how much faster is the Shark?

When all the cen hulls are powered by a 700bb turbo, the wave shark is the fastest.

Haha, you're avoiding the real question! How much faster is it (when powered by the 700bb, same cell count)?

Because this is a thread, not a forum. If everyone keeps asking questions in here then it will be next to impossible to find any information through one huge long thread.

Ugh I hate these Tamiya connectors. They have gotten so bad that the power won't go through without putting pressure on them. I have finally warped them. I will have to switch to Dean Ultra before I get better pictures or video of my AJ.

how long did the tamiya connecters last do they outlast the motor, how long does the 775 motor usually last?.
im going to shelbyville tomorrow. its a 40 mile long lake in southern illinois-so theres big boats and hugh waves.. im taking my waveshark and lots of batteries and chargers-o and the video camera so ill take a good wave jumping vid and post it up when i get back.

They will last you about 10 - 15 runs until you start seeing problems until they get so bad they won't even make a connection. But it depends how many cells you are running. You can feel when its time to replace them. They will loosen up and it becomes very easy to unplug them. I don't know how long a 775 lasts. I had to used it to replace the burnt motor in my starter box and now I use a 700. It should last you a couple years though.
