Default outboard motor?

Has anyone made any boats using the aquacraft outboard motor? They look pretty cool to me. They make that pro fisherman boat scoot around pretty quick.

Yes, I have one and I like the way it handles alot. It seems to ride like its on rails and has no turn fins. I haven't flipped it yet, knock on wood. lol I am currently about to drop a 400 brushless motor in it to see what happens.

I also have the ProFisherman. I've flipped mine twice already. However mine's faster than stock and I've been operating it in a lake rather than a pond. I think anything of the same size and speed would not stay in control in those conditions. The lake swells cause it to become airborn. The good news is no water got in the hull either time (I tape the hatches) despite floating upside down in the water for a number of minutes before I could retrieve it. Only the motor got wet.

Keep us posted on how the brushless works out.

I put the motor on a scratch built boat with the brushless system out of my supervee in it but stripped out the gears due to haveing messed with the mesh foolishly and probably the power. the gears are not available separatly and now I am stuck gearless with a useless outboard. I am tring to figure some alternative out but have found nothing. Any thoughts?

There is a guy on another forum site (which I can't mention...RCU forum rules) that fab'd his own gears for the ep1. He says he'll sell them for $20 for a set of 2.
