High mah lipos
Found a website that sells lipos with high c and mah.
For example they have a 7.4 volt 12000[X(]mah
12000mah Capacity
7.4 Volts
44mm X 137mm X 38mm
20C Constant(240 amps)
30C Sustained(360 amps)
50C Burst(600 amps)
545 grams
Comes with Apache/Hyperion Taps
was thinking of buying a 6000mah 11.1 lipo for my foki sx and get a bit longer runtimes. that pack weighs like 50g more than my 9 cell 2200mah 4/5 sub-c pack.
just prop it down to a x431 instead of the x432. For me its okay to loose a bit of speed if a get like 20 minutes of runtime instead of 7-8 minutes
oh and here is the link http://www.maxamps.com/index.html?lmd=38519.529109

RE: High mah lipos
a 20 min run time is asking alot form your esc and motor . most setups are not meant to be run for more then 10 mins or so.
12,000 will not fit in your little foki for sure

RE: High mah lipos
I know the 12000mah wont fit haha, the 11.1 6000mah is almost to heavy.
so I might burn the motor and esc if I run the 6000mah pack?

RE: High mah lipos
no you wont burn it up . . i don't know why the heck people think that
6000 MAH refers to how long the 11.1 volt pack can sustain 11.1 volts !!!!!
6000 MAH is just a number to tell you how long it can hold 11.1 volts before it drops . . there isn't more power there is just more run time!!

RE: High mah lipos
I didn't say anything about more power, you said that i might damage the esc and motor if I run it for like 20 minutes.
And I know that if you have higher mah rating you will get longer runtime but if you read my first post you will see that I was just interested in getting more runtime.
And were did I say that I was going to use a 12000mah for the foki??
this is what I said:
"was thinking of buying a 6000mah 11.1 lipo for my foki sx and get a bit longer runtimes. that pack weighs like 50g more than my 9 cell 2200mah 4/5 sub-c pack.

so if you read that you have to see that I was going for the 6000mah and not the 12000mah and that I even thought of the extra weight of that pack and was going to step down a prop size to see how it goes.
so please read the post before you give give an answer that makes me look like an idiot.
