RE: SV27 ESC Question...
Well... I did ask if it had reverse... and that is a factual response!
I'm familiar with BL motors and controllers, and suspected it was fwd-only. I'm into RC planes, helis, and cars, and now I want to get a boat. I know I probably don't need reverse, but I'd feel better having it. The SV27 sounds like the best electric RTR speedboat around from what I've read in this forum...

RE: SV27 ESC Question...
pkh, welcome to RC Boating. You will find that most if not all high quality marine esc's don't have reverse. You are right, it would be nice to have reverse in the case that you need it. Even alot of the racing car esc's have reverse with optional lockout. It is true that it is more rare that you would need it in a boat, but would be nice just in case. The other truth to that is, RC electric boats are just starting to get alot more popular than in the past. So there will be more and more options in the near future. For now, the SV 27 is the best RTR boat out there.

RE: SV27 ESC Question...
When running a flex cable, reverse is not an option. Even if surface driven boats had reverse it would be uncontrolable. The boat would just reverse in any random direction regardless of rudder input.
